I am a performer. Combining computers with performance allows new
possibilities. This is the case in "Sticky Snacks". In this piece
I am playing the role of a virtual host at the dinner party. The
user is invited to join the party. The interactive matrix revolves
around the dinner ritual. At the snack bar (workstation) the user
takes up his/her eating utensil (the mouse) to direct the cursor
through the "menu" on the screen. A cast of characters was sampled
for the soundtrack. Through navigating the piece the user becomes
a performer as well. Good manners serve well at the workstation as
they do at the table. After hours of virtual dining the user has
not eaten anything. The party never ends. The user leaves hungry.
