Developed as part of the FUNNEL web site project, "Totem" is a kinetic meditation on the death of mass media. It was inspired by a dream involving an African shaman who appears on a TV screen, predicting the end of the mass medium. When the shaman is asked why mass media would disappear, the TV tube implodes, because that is the one question that cannot be answered.
